Laura Almond

LPC, CSAC

Hello, I’m Laura, a licensed professional counselor and substance abuse therapist. I’ve worked in the field for over 25 years, supporting people navigating life and relationship difficulties, addictions, mood disorders, and trauma. I believe that exploration of past relationships and experiences is crucial in making meaning of the thoughts and behaviors that are not serving us. Understanding personal and relational patterns is vital for self-empowerment and making the changes that feel right for you.

I strive to create an environment that is nonjudgmental, safe and affirming of each unique person and identity. My approach to therapy is warm, conversational, grounded and always guided by genuine curiosity and respect for your lived experience. I aim to cultivate a therapeutic environment where clients feel acknowledged, supported, and even thoughtfully challenged.

While each session is shaped by your unique needs, I draw from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based techniques, and Internal Family Systems, among others. I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths in ways that feel true to who you are—grounded in your values and aligned with what matters most to you.

Alexis Varselona

LCSW

Hi, I am Alexis Varselona, a licensed clinical social worker here to support you through the overwhelming, tender, and deeply human experiences of grief, anxiety, and trauma. Whether you are facing identity shifts, parenting chaos, neurodivergence, chronic stress, or just trying to sleep through the night, I offer support with honesty, warmth, and the occasional well-timed metaphor. I work with adults navigating relationships, burnout, and major life transitions. My clients are often working on healing from past wounds, learning to set boundaries, finding ways to manage feelings, breaking old patterns, or preparing for big changes. In therapy, expect a safe and judgment-free space where your full self is welcome. My approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for your lived experience. Clients describe me as laid-back, attentive, and easy to talk to.

In therapy, we’ll do more than talk about your week, we’ll explore what’s underneath the patterns, reconnect you to your values, and build practical tools for lasting change. I integrate mindfulness and somatic techniques with evidence-based practices like CBT, ACT, CPT, and others to support your journey. I’m affirming of 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, BIPOC, and anyone who’s ever felt out of place in traditional spaces. If you’re ready to explore, heal, laugh, cry, and grow, sometimes all in one session, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Vanessa Vaziri

LCSW

Hi, I’m Vanessa, a clinical social worker who’s been working with teens, families, and adults for the past 11 years. After living in Wisconsin for 12 years, I now call Northern Colorado my home and am now seeing clients in Wisconsin via telehealth.

When working with me you can expect a blend of humor, compassion, and transparency. I’m less about holding you accountable and more about helping you take an honest look at what your best self is striving for. I love working with individual folks and families on issues related to adoption, befriending all the parts that make you “you”, setting boundaries, being a little bit kinder to yourself, finding freedom from past traumas and building a community where you can be yourself and find belonging. Sure, we’ll take a look at past experiences that shaped you, but we’ll also spend a good deal of time focused on the here and now, finding practical solutions to whatever woes you’re packing.

I pull from various evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems/Ego State Interventions, Multidimensional Family Therapy, DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a few others. I do my best to take an anti-capitalist and liberatory approach in my work and, given that I am a life-long learner, my approach is often evolving to fit the needs of my clients.
